This board is suitable for surfing in small waves, fast and fun.
The board easily enters the waves without much paddling, smooth floaters. The Sweet Potato is probably the widest, flattest and thickest small wave board you will ever surf. It is a performer, but a total grobber – this shape will give you the most fun in especially weak waves. This is the board that does not need to leave your trunk.
The new Sweet Potato is updated with the Swallow Tail, the latest version of Mannkine’s small wave shape that has made surfing what it is today for many riders. It turns waves that would normally require a longboard into usable waves, and thanks to its large volume, it is loose and produces a lot of drive.
The board has a double concave that makes it feel much narrower than it actually is. The new tail shape, along with some changes to the board’s design, has increased its maneuverability and allows it to make sharp turns at the top of the wave without compromising speed and drive in weak waves.

This model is perfect for days when most surfers would bring a longboard.
This board is fun and great for small waves, requiring very little effort to paddle. It is a high-performance grobber for anything below head height, but it really excels in waves at waist height and below. Recommended for waves 30cm to 1.5m high, and is suited to weak, plump and flat conditions.
Characteristics
This shape has been a game changer for many, thanks to its functionality and flexibility. While the shape looks fun and easy, the deep double concave, narrow swallowtail and large volume do most of the work. The low rocker on the entry and exit maintains a flat rocker profile, making it easy to catch flat waves.
